Join the Rockland County Choral Society as we celebrate our 75th Anniversary!
Our first concert of the season is A GRAND TOUR OF THE WORLD'S GREAT OPERA HOUSES and will be narrated by the legendary Marni Nixon*. The concert will be lead by long-time conductor of the Rockland County Choral Society, Philip Hagemann, and will be accompanied by an full orchestra. Pieces includes some of your favorite Opera Choruses, including the exciting Polovtsian Dances from Prince Igor, the Anvil Chorus from Il Trovatore, Brindisi from La Traviata, choruses from Faust, Cavalleria Rusticana, Amahl and the Night Visitors, Dido and Aeneas, Die Meistersinger, and more!
*Miss Nixon is the singing voice of Deborah Kerr, Natalie Wood and Audrey Hepburn in the Motion Pictures and on the Soundtracks of The King and I, An Affair to Remember, West Side Story, and My Fair Lady. She is also a recipient of the George Peabody Award 2012 for "Outstanding Contributions to American Music".
