The Nyack Library Soul Food & African - American Entrepreneurs & Executives Celebration is a series of forums for the public to discuss their career goals and seek advice from professionals in various fields. The discussion will cover discrimination in the workplace. Members of the community are invited to attend to discuss their experiences with racism and discrimination and how workplace diversity has had a positive influence on their life.
The goal is to share solutions on how to succeed against all obstacles. Panelists from diverse backgrounds will speak and then answer any questions from the public. Registration is required.

Judge Walter Rivera, Partner, Rivera & Colon, LLP
Judge Walter Rivera serves as the Town Justice of the Greenburgh Town Court in Westchester County. He is a member of the Puerto Rican Bar Association, the National Hispanic Bar Association and the fraternity Omega Psi Phi’s Omicron Chapter from Columbia University. He is also a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Law School (J.D. 1979) and a graduate of Columbia University (B.A. 1976). Judge Rivera’s law firm represents “small and mid-sized businesses as outside counsel in corporate governance, contracts, lease negotiations, contract preparation and/or review, negotiations, and business disputes“ said a representative from his law firm.
