Nyack History: One Sketch at a Time

On Saturday, Oct. 6, from 1-4pm there will be an opening reception at the Historical Society of the Nyacks museum for popular artist Bill Batson’s exhibition: Nyack History: One Sketch at a Time.  Refreshments will be served.

Batson is the artist and author of the Nyack Sketch Log, producer of Nyack’s Flash Sketch Mob, and Artist in Residence at Nyack’s Farmer’s Market.   His sketches are, he says, a human, anti-mechanical way to create “a visual record of every inch, object, vista, and structure” of his village.

The Historical Society of the Nyacks is headquartered on the lower level of DePew House at the corner of Hudson Avenue & Piermont Avenue (behind the Nyack Library and across from Memorial Park). The exhibit will be open to the public every Saturday in October, November, and December. from 1-4pm.  More information is available at nyackhistory.org.
