Family Barn Dance with Live Fiddle Music

Second Annual Family Barn Dance with Live Fiddle Music to Benefit Blue Rock School


Congers, NY— Come one, come all! Blue Rock School is hosting its second annual old-fashioned Family ‘Barn Dance’ with live fiddle music at the Congers Lake Memorial Park Auditorium located at 6 Gilchrest Road in Congers, NY on Friday, November 9, 2012 from 7 to 9 pm.


Dig out your dancing shoes for what is sure to be afun, foot-stompin’ time for all. Children are welcome, and no previous dance experience is necessary. Renowned dance caller, Eric Hollman, will lead the way as guests keep step to live, traditional fiddle tunes from Ireland, Appalachia, New England and beyond performed by fiddle player Naomi Morse and pianist Neil Pearlman.

The event is open to the public. Admission is $10 per person and tickets will be sold at the door. Gift baskets for all ages will be auctioned off, and refreshments will be available for sale. All event proceeds to benefit the Ruth Schaeffer Scholarship Fund at Blue Rock School inWest Nyack, NY.


Blue Rock School is a progressive, independent day school serving students in kindergarten through eighth grade, and is located on a beautiful, four-acre, wooded campus in West Nyack, NY.  The school was founded in 1987 with thepurpose of providing a rich educational experience based on a child-centered and hands-on approach that nurtures children’s innate love of learning, enables them to follow their own natural curiosity, develop as independent thinkers and grow in a dynamic learning community.
