Casino Night and Holiday Boutique Fundraiser to Benefit COPS Barn, Nanuet

Fundraiser to Help Autistic Children and Adults Honors 911 First Responder Tommy Foley

Proceeds to complete New Indoor Riding Arena for Children of Promise Stable

Johnny, a local 8 year old autistic child, was labeled as non-verbal. His mother Maureen had resigned herself to never hearing him speak. Imagine the tears of joy she shed the day she unexpectedly heard him say, "Walk on!" to his favorite steed Rascal at the Children of Promise Stable (COPS) in Nanuet, where he has been receiving equine therapy for the past three years!

Therapeutic riding is an invaluable part of therapy for children and adults with autism and other developmental and physical disabilities, according to PATH, the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International. In an effort to assist that population in the Hudson Valley, Keller Williams Hudson Valley realty has designated Johnny's stable, The Children of Promise Stable in Nanuet, to be the local recipient of KW Cares, the national charity of the Keller Williams organization.

The New City Real Estate brokerage's major fundraiser event of the year will be a Casino Night and Holiday Boutique, to be held from 6-10pm on Thursday, November 21st, at the Case Mia Manor House in Blauvelt, NY.

The proceeds will help to complete the dedication of the COPS organization's new indoor riding area in memory of Tommy Foley, a FDNY 911 First Responder who was a West Nyack resident.

Gayle Georgetti, the Casino Nite Chairperson and Keller Williams Realtor said, "Not only will you be helping other children like Johnny by attending, you can also help yourself to a buffet dinner with beer, wine, soda, coffee and dessert for only $25! Where else can you get a deal like that? And you can also win high-end, expensive prizes and exchange gold for cash!" Co-Chairperson and Keller Williams Realtor Valerie Moldow added: "It will be a great event that will also allow Keller Williams to help a very worthy charity, located right here in Nanuet."

The Children of Promise Stable, Inc. is a Nanuet nonprofit tax-exempt corporation that provides professional equine-assisted activities and therapies to both children and adults with special needs through a diversified equestrian riding program. Participants are ages 3 and older. The organization serves residents of Rockland, Westchester and New Jersey.

Supported by local vendors, the fundraiser promises to be an evening of fun, food and prizes raffled off. Tickets cost $25 and are available at the door or by contacting the New City office of Keller Williams Hudson Valley Realty at 845-639-0300.
