Water Main Bursts in Piermont

Highway Department scrambles to repair

A busted water main on Ash Street in Piermont has the village's Highway Department scrambling to fix the ruptured pipe.

A team of about six men is currently working to seal up the main and prevent water from freezing on the road. Some ice has already formed, and workers are applying sand and salt.

"That's a tough hill even without ice," said Michael O'Shea, Piermont's police chief.
