“Given the hardship that local residents have experienced during the past few weeks, we thought that it would be appropriate to waive the admission fee,” said St. Lawrence.

Event entry will not require a ticket. The concert is set for Sunday, Nov. 11, at Ramapo High School, 400 Viola Road, Spring Valley, with doors opening at 1:45 p.m. The concert features Joe Battaglia and the New York Big Band.  Battaglia has performed throughout the world with such notable artists as Frank Sinatra, Shirley Bassey and Tony Bennett.

I guess better late than never. LaCorte is serving his 4th year as Mayor and was Trustee for I thinkRead More 4 years before that. This year is the only time he has brought the idea to the village about participating in this program. He is motivated by the opportunity of getting positive press for his County Executive campaign. The village should have been involved in this program ( as well as the Americorps program) long before this. On a positive note, hopefully the Village will continue this worthwhile partnership for many years to come.
