TZ Bridge: Lane Closures This Week

Thruway Authority to carry out repairs

 

Off-peak commuters may see more traffic this Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday as the state's Thruway Authority carries out construction on the current Tappan Zee Bridge.

Thruway officials describe the work as "routine repairs" that will occur "during off-peak travel times, weather permitting."

The repair schedule is:

  • Monday, February 20: Holiday; no lane closures.
  • Tuesday, February 21: One right lane southbound closed for bridge maintenance beginning at milepost 16.2 to 13.1, between 9:30 a.m. and 3 p.m.
  • Wednesday, February 22: One right lane southbound closed for bridge maintenance beginning at milepost 16.2 to 13.1, between 9:30 a.m. and 3 p.m.
  • Thursday, February 23: One right lane northbound closed for bridge maintenance beginning at milepost 13.1 to 16.2, between 9:30 a.m. and 3 p.m.
  • Friday, February 24: One right lane southbound closed for bridge maintenance beginning at milepost 15.0 to 13.1, between 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
