To restore gas, O&R workers must carry out three steps: enter a building and shut off the gas meter; re-gas the main; and return to the building to set the pilot light.

Nyackers ready to have their gas service restored can contact O&R at 1-877-434-4100.

Thursday afternoon's natural gas fire shut a section of North Broadway in Nyack through Saturday. The street was back open on Sunday.
