The death, police said, appears to be from natural causes and is not considered suspicious.

Police were called to the Nyack Motor Lodge on Route 303 in West Nyack — opposite Palisades Center mall — to investigate the death. The woman was found in a room in the rear section of the motel.

The Rockland County Medical Examiner's Office was called in to investigate the death and police said the exact cause of death had not yet been determined. Police this afternoon were attempting to notify relatives of the woman in the Haverstraw area.

I guess better late than never. LaCorte is serving his 4th year as Mayor and was Trustee for I thinkRead More 4 years before that. This year is the only time he has brought the idea to the village about participating in this program. He is motivated by the opportunity of getting positive press for his County Executive campaign. The village should have been involved in this program ( as well as the Americorps program) long before this. On a positive note, hopefully the Village will continue this worthwhile partnership for many years to come.
