Moms Host Movie Night in Nyack Demanding ‘Gun Sense’

The New York Hudson Valley chapter of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America will screen "Living for 32" on Sunday, June 9 and Wednesday, June 12.

All Colin Goddard needed to by a gun was a pocket full of cash and a poorly photocopied drivers license. This is a troubling fact for Goddard, a survivor of the Virginia Tech shooting where 32 people were murdered, as well as the New York Hudson Valley Chapter of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense.

New York Hudson Valley Chapter of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense are hosting two free showings in Rockland of “Living for 32,” a film that documents Goddard’s life after the tragedy and his attempt to advocate for reasonable gun law reform.

“This film is possibly even more powerful after the shameful Senate vote in April that killed the expanded background check bill, and now the new background check bill being introduced in the House of Representatives,” said Alex Dubroff of Moms Demand Action’s Hudson Valley chapter.

“Over 40% of guns in America are purchased without background checks, through gun shows, private sales and on the internet. Our laws must change,” said Dubroff.
