Long Island Man Charged with DWI in Nyack
Police: Arrested came after complaint of intoxicated man at Walgreens lot.
A Long Island man was ordered held in the Rockland county jail early Monday after he was hit with felony drunken driving charges from an investigation in Nyack, according to Orangetown Police.
Daniel T. Sullivan, 55, of 1908 Joshua Patch, Central Islip, NY, was arrested in the lot of Walgreens, 16 Route 59, Nyack, after police said they received a complaint about a possibly intoxicated person.
Police said town officers found Sullivan at Walgreens at 3:31 a.m. in a 2000 Honda Civic, with the keys in the ignition, the engine running and the transmission set for drive. Police said Sullivan was told to shut down the car and get out.

Sullivan, police said, appeared intoxicated and failed field sobriety tests. He later failed a chemical breath test for alcohol, police said.
Sullivan was charged with driving while intoxicated as a felony because of a previous conviction within the past 10 years, and he was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated. He was arraigned in Nyack Village Court and ordered held in the Rockland County Correctional Facility in New City pending a hearing.
