Hilltop Building to Be Gone by Week's End

Dilapidated restaurant has just days left to stand

The once-popular Hilltop Restaurant—which served the famed Lobster Della Fano dish and was run by four WWII-veteran brothers—has just a few days left to stand.

The eatery, which closed its doors in 2006, will be knocked down and . Construction crews are currently clearing debris out of the structure, and are set to carry out the heavy demolition later this week.

Yes that is a great sign - a bit of Americana! Maybe it will wind up on American Pickers.

The sign was originally going to the Nyack Historical Society, but they didn't have the room. Now the Donato family—specifically the daughters of the owners—are going to take it home.
