Heads Up: Water Flushing in the Nyacks

Mains to be flushed in Nyack, Central, West, South Nyacks

Mark your calendars—the Nyack Water Department will be flushing water mains throughout the villages later this month.

The annual process generally takes place in May; officials considered bumping the event to twice a year after Nyack water .

As a result of flushing, water color may be temporarily discolored, and water pressure may be temporarily reduced.

The schedule:

West and Central Nyack: Monday, May 7; Tuesday, May 8; Wednesday, May 9; and Thursday, May 10 between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m.

Nyack and South Nyack: Monday, May 14; Tuesday, May 15; Wednesday, May 16; Thursday, May 17; and Friday, May 18 between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m.
