Gas Main Work Continues in Downtown Nyack

Portion of North Broadway tied up

O&R crews are continuing a $600,000 gas main project in Nyack that aims to equip the village with new piping and do away with infrastructure from the '50s.

Currently, a portion of North Broadway—one block north of —is reduced to a single lane.

Why are they putting in gas lines ? I thought gas was bad. They should be putting, like, solar sidewalks, and stopping the fracking. Right ?
