Lanterna Tuscan Bistro Will Host a Pair of Wine-Coupled Dinners During January, 2014

Lanterna Tuscan Bistro in Nyack will host two special dining events in January, 2014.

It will serve a "Tuscan Flavor" three-course, wine-paired dinner on Wednesday, January 15, 2014. The dishes to be offered will depend on market availability. The cost is $42 per person plus tax and gratuity with four different wines for tasting included in the cost. 

The regular menu will also be available.

On Tuesday, January 21, 2014, Chef/owner Rossano Giannini will explain and demonstrate the steps needed to prepare an authentic italian meal. A wine-coupled dinner will follow. The dishes to be served will depend on market availability. The cost of $75 per person includes tax and tip.

Giannini grew up in Lucca, Italy, graduated from the Culinary Institute F. Martini in the town of Montecantini Terme, and cooked at several restaurants in Italy and one in Pakistan before coming to America in 1994. He cooked at Trattoria Dell'Arte and Masala, left America to become executive chef at the Sheraton Cairo Hotel in Egypt and returned to become executive chef at Torre di Pisa in Manhattan and later executive chef at Trattoria Frattoria in Ridgewood, New Jersey.

He opened Lanterna Tuscan Bistro on April 19, 2000.

Hours of operation:
Monday through Thursday. 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Friday and Saturday. 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Sunday. 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
