  • Where/When: Dutchess County Fairgrounds, August 23rd through August 28th from 10 a.m.
  • Why go: See the animals, play the games, ride the rides and eat the food
  • Pricing: $15 for adults, children under 12 are free

5. New York State Fair

  • Why go: It's New York States largest annual event! It will be loads of fun, if you're will to trek a few hours away. Entertainment includes Maroon 5, Three Doors Down and Selena Gomez
