Vinyl Lounge to Remain Open Through Fall

Nyack's indie music store receives financial help from resident

Nyackers will have an extra few months to stock up on their favorite records and music memorabilia.

—the downtown Nyack music shop that —will remain open for a longer stretch.

"Due to an anonymous financial backer who is passionate about what we do, Vinyl Lounge will be able to remain open for a few extra months," wrote owner Matt DeGroat in an email to customers. "We need your support now more than ever."

Vinyl Lounge was prepared to shut its doors on August 13. The shop opened in summer of 2011.

DeGroat noted new shipments will continue to arrive, and the store's signature concerts will continue, as well.

The sale prices announced in July will continue, DeGroat added.
