This Weekend: Italian Feast, Star Fest

Events taking place around the county this Friday, Saturday, Sunday

With the work week nearing its end, check out this list of just a few things you can do around the county this weekend:

  • When/Where - Saturday 11 a.m. to 12 a.m. and Sunday noon to 9 p.m. at the Masonic Fair Grounds, located at 89 Western Hwy, Tappan.
  • Why Go - Take in one of the last two days of the annual event, featuring Italian specialties, music, carnival rides, a casino tent and much more.
  • Pricing - Varies.

  • When/Where - Saturday 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Nanuet Weight Waters, located at 117 Rockland Center, Nanuet.
  • Why Go - Learn about Weight Watchers programs at this open house, which will feature prizes, recipes and a food drive where attendees are asked to bring in a non-perishable item to donate to People to People.

Speakers include Dr. Karen Karsif, director of the Center for Breast Health at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center and Julie Goodale, a certified personal trainer and cancer exercise specialist.
