This Weekend: Flower Show, Chili Festival

A few events taking place this weekend around the county

With the work week nearing its end, check out this list of just a few things you can do around the county this weekend:

  • When/Where - Friday all day at Blue Hill Plaza, located at 1 Blue Hill Plaza, Pearl River.
  • Why Go - Check out an art exhibit featuring the work of 12 artists who interpret life and material  through abstract composition.
  • Pricing - Free.
  • When/Where - Saturday 9:30 a.m. at Park Evangelical Free Church, located at 4 Roosevelt Place, New City.
  • Why Go - Children ages 3-11 can get an early start on hunting for Easter Eggs.
  • Pricing - Free.
  • When/Where - Saturday 10:30 a.m. at Dr. Davies Farm, located at 306 Route 304, Congers.
  • Why Go - Join State Sen. David Carlucci to help clean up a portion of Route 304 between Ridge Road and Route 9W.
  • Pricing - Free.

  • When/Where - Saturday 12 p.m. at 336 N. Broadway, Nyack
  • Why Go - Celebrate the Garden Club’s 100th anniversary and 19th flower show by enjoying a look back in time and seeing which flowers earn prizes, such as people’s choice and best of show. The awards are given out at 2:45 p.m.
  • Pricing - Free
  • When/Where - Saturday 6 p.m. at Felix Festa Middle School, located at 30 Parrott Road, West Nyack.
  • Why Go - Help raise money for the Clarkstown Education Foundation while enjoying various types of chili. A number of prizes will be raffled off as well.
  • Pricing - $5 for children, $10 for adults or $25 for families.
