This Weekend: Carnival, Book Sale

Here are some events taking place this weekend around the county

With the work week nearing its end, check out this list of just a few things you can do around the county this weekend.

  • When/Where - Friday 3-7 p.m. at 16 Handles, 170 Main Street, New City.
  • Why Go - Enjoy some frozen yogurt while helping raise money for the Clarkstown North PTSA, as 16 percent of sales from 3-7 p.m. will be donated.
  • Pricing - Free.

  • When/Where - Friday 7 p.m. until Saturday 7 a.m. at 66 E Central Ave, Pearl River.
  • Why Go - Go to the third annual walk that honors people whose lives have been touched by cancer and raises funds to aid the American Cancer Society's efforts fight the disease help raise money.
  • Pricing - Free.

  • When/Where - Friday 5 p.m., Saturday and Sunday noon at Dominican College, located at 470 Western Highway, Orangeburg.
  • Why Go - Enjoy a wide range of games, rides and on Saturday night, a fireworks display.
  • Pricing - $25.

  • When/Where - Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Nyack Library, located at 59 S Broadway, Nyack.
  • Why Go - Check out the large selection of books for sale.
  • Pricing - Free.
  • When/Where - Saturday 6:30-9:30 p.m. at Kid’s Kingdom, located at 121 W Nyack Road, Nanuet.
  • Why Go - Drop the kids off in their pajamas and let them enjoy a night full of games, a movie and pizza.
  • Pricing - $25 per child, $15 per additional sibling.
