This Weekend: Bracelet Class, March For Babies

A few events taking place this weekend around the county

With the work week nearing its end, check out this list of just a few things you can do around the county this weekend:

  • When/Where - Friday 6 p.m. at Gagliardi Studio & Gallery, located at 39 Hudson Ave, Nyack.
  • Why Go - Enjoy a social the first Friday of every month to see what people have learned in class. Open to non-students as well.
  • Pricing - $20 for non-students, $18 for students.

  • When/Where - Saturday 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Beads Mosaic, located at 78 So. Middletown Road, Nanuet.
  • Why Go - Get an early start on your Mother’s Day gift by making some bracelets. Class good for both beginners and those who have more experience with beads.
  • Pricing - $35

  • When/Where - Saturday 12:30 p.m. at Clarkstown South, located at 31 Demarest Mill Road, West Nyack.
  • Why Go - Join the South lacrosse programs for their second annual Support Our Troops event, which collects personal items for the Adopt-A-Platoon program that will be shipped to troops serving in the armed forces. At 1 p.m., there is a youth game. The South and North JV teams will play at 3:30 p.m., and the varsity teams will face off at 6 p.m.
  • Pricing - Free.

  • When/Where - Saturday 3 p.m. and 5 p.m., and Sunday 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. at Clarkstown North, located at 151 Congers Road, New City.
  • Why Go - Go see the youth theater perform the award-winning musical.
  • Pricing - $15
  • When/Where - Sunday 10 a.m. at Blue Hill Plaza, located at 1 Blue Hill Plaza, Pearl River.
  • Why Go - Participate in the yearly nation-wide event that raises funds to support programs which help mothers have healthy, full-term pregnancies. The money raised is also used to fund research dedicated to finding answers to the problems that threaten babies
  • Pricing - Free.
