With the work week nearing its end, check out this list of just a few things you can do around the county this weekend:
- When/Where - Saturday 12 p.m. on Piermont Avenue, Piermont.
- Why Go - Celebrate Bastille Day by walking up and down Piermont Ave. to enjoy live music, fine food, can-can dancing, shopping and prizes for the best, most authentic period costumes. There will also be a storming of the Bastille reenactment.

- When/Where - Sunday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Main St and N. Broadway, Nyack.
- Why Go - Check out the street fair, featuring hand-crafted items, art, photography, antiques and more. There’s also food and a children’s area located in the Main Street Parking Lot.
- Pricing - Free.

- When/Where - Saturday 6:30 a.m. at Rockland Lake State Park.
- Why Go - Go participate in or cheer on Rockland’s sole women’s only run to benefit the Rockland Family Shelter. Registration is at 6:30 a.m. with a boys and girls free child’s run taking place at 7:30 a.m.The 5K women’s run begins at 8 a.m.
- Pricing - $25 to sign up for race.

- When/Where - Saturday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Rockland County Gaelic Athletic Association fields, located at 1 3rd Avenue, Orageburg.
- Why Go - Take in the all-day event, featuring a number of different sports, as well as races for kids, face painting and food. Proceeds benefit the Rockland GAA scholarship fund.
- Pricing - $5 for adults, free for anyone under 18

- When/Where - Saturday 11 a.m. at the New City Library, located at 220 North Main Street, New City.
- Why Go - Kids ages 3 and up can enjoy a performance by magician and ventriloquist Steve Woyce.
