Stock Up On Your Vegetables, Pies and Biskookies

Last week's rainy Nyack farmers' market was a disappointment—check out today's before the market winds down

A rainy Thursday in Nyack doesn't bode well for the weekly .

At the last market, heavy precipitation drove many merchants away—by noon, a number of vendors had already given up. There were only about five booths remaining, one of which was in the midst of packing up.

A few brave shoppers—with umbrellas in hand—made their way to the market. Those who made it had top choice of veggies, as there wasn't much competition.

had its usual arrangement of the breads, fish, pasta and more ready for the customers.

had plenty of barrels ready with former cucumbers and such. (They're already wet, so what's the difference?)

had just left. Check back today for their gluten-free biskookies, which they invented.

Remember: the Thursday before Thanksgiving is the final market of the season, so make sure you stock up and get everything for the winter.
