South Nyack Lawyer Named VP of N.Y. Women's Bar Association

Andrea F. Composto elected at state convention.

South Nyack resident Andrea F. Composto of the Law Offices of Composto and Composto in Brooklyn and in Nyack has been elected vice president of the Women’s Bar Association of the State of New York.

The election was at the group's Annual Convention on June 1 at the Turning Stone Resort and Casino in Verona, NY.  This year marked the 32nd Anniversary of the founding of WBASNY.

Composto is a graduate of Albany Law School (Class of 2002). She was admitted to the New York State Bar in 2003 and to the United States District Court, Eastern and Southern Districts of the Federal Court.

In 2006, Composto was admitted to the United States Supreme Court. In addition to her work on the state level, Composto is a member of the Brooklyn Women’s Bar Association and the Rockland County Women’s Bar Association, two of the 18 chapters under WBASNY. 

She is also a member of the New York State Bar Association, the Brooklyn Bar Association and the Columbian Lawyers Association of Kings and Rockland Counties.

Composto is a partner at the Law Offices of Composto & Composto along with her father, Frank A. Composto.  The firm was founded in 1932 by her grandfather, the late Hon. Frank Composto, making Andrea the third generation of members at the firm.  The Law Offices of Composto & Composto is a general practice law firm concentrating in all areas of civil litigation, personal injury, commercial law, real estate and wills.
