Palisades Center Renovation Proceeds on Schedule

Signs of the ongoing renovation continue to show in the Palisades Center Mall in West Nyack.

The major makeover was first announced in May, with much of the work so far focused on taking up old flooring and replacing it. Palisades Center Director of Marketing Leemarie Dell'Acchio said the work is on schedule and the plan is still to complete it by the end of 2013.

"We have started the flooring work throughout the center and we are currently making selections for paint schemes, soft seating elements, lighting fixtures and restrooms," Dell'Acchio said.

There are signs all through the mall showing images of the planned makeover.

"The tile work has commenced on level one, two and three in which customers can come and see," Dell'Acchio said. "It was started down near Lord & Taylor and Macy's. There are a number of different tiles that are being used so we invite people to come take a look."

Dell'Acchio also said that any number out on the public about the estimated cost of the project is incorrect.

"We have not released a number attached to this project," Dell'Acchio said. "I can tell you it is tens of millions of dollars."
