Fans of the VH1 show Mob Wives got a treat on Monday night when Angela Raiola aka "Big Ang" stopped by a West Nyack business.
Venolase in West Nyack hosted a meet and greet for a small group of people and Raiola, who is one of their clients. All that came enjoyed light snacks and drinks and a photo opportunity with Raiola.
Mob Wives is a docu-soap series that follows the lives of women at a crossroads, having to pick up the pieces and carry on while their husbands or fathers do time for Mob-related activities, according to the show’s website.
Raiola is the niece of Salvatore "Sally Dogs" Lombardi, a deceased captain of the Genovese crime family. Read her full bio here.
“Everything we do here is minimal or non-invasive and all with lasers. We get you in and out. It’s fast and permanent,” said Rex Ghassemi, who owns Venolase with partner Donna Konlian. “Someone recommended us to Big Ang. She’s a very nice lady, a sweetheart.”
Raiola came to Venolase for work on her arms.
“My experience with Dr. Rex was amazing. It was a tremendous result and very pleased. Everything came out beautifully,” said Raiola. “Because the arms are such a tremendous difference, I plan to return (to do my back and love handles). They treat you right and it’s a great staff, and you’re not put to sleep.”
Ghassemi added that one of his popular procedures is SmartLipo, also referred to as laser-assisted lipolysis. It’s is a minimally invasive, non-surgical body contouring treatment that is performed in their office under local anesthesia and requires less than one hour to complete. SmartLipo uses laser energy to remove body fat while promoting tissue healing and skin tightening.
This level B surgery center is AAA accredited and has been in the community for three years. They also offer seminars from time to time.
