Fill This Spot: What Would You Like To See Here?

This empty building across from a shopping center once held a fast food restaurant.

This vacant building at the corner of Long Hill Road and Meridian Street Extension used to house a fast food retaurant.

It's fallen into disrepair. Graffitti is sprayed on the side of the building and a window is smashed in front. But it's in a well-traveled location, across from the shopping center that houses Goodwill, TJ Maxx and Dollar Tree.

What would you like to see move in?

Michele, that driveway issue has been a problem since way before Blimpies, back when it was the Indian Restaurant, and even the Seafood restaurant I think that was called Scoobys? Everyone's complaint was they only ate there if they had something to do further down the road afterwards. As they say in all sales worlds, if you have to think about it, you're not going to do it. If I remember right I believe either Blimpies or the Indian restaurant asked Groton Town for a variance to build a back exit onto Meridian St Ext to help with half of those issues at least, and were turned down. Perhaps with the economy so bad the town will be willing to take it's foot off of its you-know-what and allow someone to prosper there this time around, eh? Although many locals say quite matter of factly that the plot of land must just be haunted...

I like that idea a lot! Could they work out something with Garbo or the Sawyers or something to get some of their supplies way below wholesale? Or does that just make too much sense around here? (Call me cynical but I'm a veteran, I know all about logical things serving impossible or disallowed. :P )

I second that. Chipotle is the bomb!
