'Jerusalem' Documentary Only to Premiere at Palisades Center IMAX

For 5,000 years one square mile of land has been the continuous site for war, while also a place where many go to worship. The only place to get an inside look at the city of Jerusalem without going overseas is in Rockland County.

The IMAX® Theatre at Palisades Center is the only place that will premiere the Cosmic Picture and Arcane Pictures film “Jerusalem” on Sept. 23, which is distributed by National Geographic Entertainment.

The documentary shows the history of the land being conquered, destroyed, rebuilt and reinvented while exploring the Holy Land’s science, history and religion.

"Through the unrivaled beauty, visceral nature and incredible technology of the IMAX® format, you feel as if you are experiencing Jerusalem up-close and first-hand," said director and co-producer Daniel Ferguson, in a press release.

Jerusalem features interviews with archaeologists, historians, religion experts, and residents. It also documents the lives of three teenage girls, from each of the world’s major religions, who all live in the city.
