Second-Ever 'Hopper Happens' Kicks Off Friday
Month-long festival will feature movies, art
Last year, married an appreciation for Edward Hopper with flash mobs and building-sized projections.
This year, it's happening again.
The second-annual festival will run from Aug. 10 to 31, and feature galleries, movies and more spread across the village.

"The focus of last year's 'Hopper Happens' was to expose a broader audience to the work of Edward Hopper," said Kris Burns, the Nyack artist who organized this year's fete, and last year's. "This [time], I’d like to expose people to what I call a 'Hopper state of mind.'"
Burns will use QR codes, projectors, photos and film to transform Nyack into a living Hopper piece—life-size figures painted onto storefronts, short films that spotlight a particular place's importance in the Hopper universe, pop-up galleries and more.
