CST Kicks off it’s 13th season with a romp in the wild wild west! The Strange Bedfellows present the comic love story Much Ado About Nothing set in the turn-of-the-century western frontier. Like the great spaghetti westerns that inspire our imagination of the romance of the old west, this play begins with a saloon brawl and everything careens on down the dusty trail from there. A scheming villain, a trusting rancher with a beautiful daughter and a pack of brave cowboys all cross paths in this classic tale of thwarted love and misunderstandings. But all is made right in the end - our heroes get the girls and hang up their spurs and saddles for a final hootinanny! The Strange Bedfellows is the adult division of the Children’s Shakespeare Theatre. They were last seen in the madcap production of The Complete Works of Shakespeare back in June. They are a company of parents, friends and fans with a few professional actors thrown in for good measure. All of their productions are fundraisers for CST to help produce the children’s shows. CST currently has a company of over 60 children between ages 8 – 18 from Bergen, Rockland, Putnam and Westchester counties.
