SNOW DAY TODAY! IMAX Palisades Debuts To The Arctic in 3D

WEATHER ADVISORY! - IMAX Theatre at Palisades Center Declares April 20th a Snow Day in Honor of the New Film To The Arctic and in Celebration of Polar Bears

With very little snow in the northeast this year, IMAX Theatre at Palisades Center in West Nyack, NY has declared April 20th a Snow Day in honor of the launch of the new movie To The Arctic which depicts the lives of a mother polar bear and her two cubs as they navigate the changing Arctic wilderness.

The IMAX Theatre at Palisades Center is home to the largest movie screen in the Rockland/Bergen area and features the incredible sharp detail that can only be provided by 15/70 format film.

Depending upon whether you're a parent or a child, the fact that there weren't any snow days this year in the Northeast could be a good thing or a bad thing. Either way, the IMAX Theatre at Palisades Center is declaring a snow day on April 20th for everyone.

On Friday, April 20th IMAX Theatre at Palisades Center will debut the new film To the Arctic 3D, a film that depicts life in the Arctic for a family of polar bears. The film, narrated by Oscar Award Winner Meryl Streep with songs by Paul McCartney, will be shown exclusively at IMAX Palisades in the Rockland area. To celebrate this beautiful and educational film, IMAX Palisades is declaring a snow day! Movie goers are encouraged to wear all white and head over to IMAX Palisades to see this incredible film.

A journey to the top of the world, To the Arctic 3D is the ultimate tale of survival. The film takes audiences on a journey into the lives of a mother polar bear and her two seven-month-old cubs as they navigate the changing Arctic wilderness they call home. Captivating footage brings moviegoers up close and personal with this family's struggle to survive in a frigid environment of melting ice, immense glaciers, spectacular waterfalls, and majestic snow-bound peaks. The film, which is 45 minutes long, is rated G and was produced through a partnership of MacGillivray Freeman, Warner Brothers, IMAX and One World One Ocean.

IMAX Theatre at Palisades Center will give away polar bear puzzles and stickers to children who see the movie on April 20th and the theatre will have random prize giveaways of plush stuffed polar bears.
