Lothar Osterburg: Piranesi
"Master photogravure, sculptor and recent winner of a Guggenheim Award, Lothar Osterburg brings his lifelong passion for architect and printmaker Giovanni Piranesi (1720 -1778) to RoCA. The centerpiece of this exhibition is a sculpture/model based on one of the masterpieces of printmaking, Carceri. A video with music by Elizabeth Brown using stop action follows the development of the sculpture through the years as well as photogravure prints."
