Edward Hopper At Home: Selections from the Arthayer R. Sanborn Collection Trust
Edward Hopper (1882-1967) was born and raised in this house and it remained his primary residence until he rented his first studio in New York City at the age of 28. Growing up in this house and absorbing the distinct features of the surrounding area provided a rich source of inspiration for the young Hopper. This intimate display of art and memorabilia reveals some of those early sources of inspiration that would remain central to his art throughout his career.
