DESIGNER HOLDS JEWELRY SALE to Benefit Hospice & Rockland Family Shelter

A  Nyack boutique and a local artist have joined forces to collaborate with United Hospice of Rockland and The Rockland Family Shelter (RFS) to assist those worthy organizations in both their fund raising and awareness raising efforts.

Artist Fatima Mariam Shabbir invites the public to join her at Maria Luisa, 77 South Broadway, Nyack on Thursday, December 8 at 6:00 PM as she unveils her unique jewelry designs. Refreshments will be served in the warm atmosphere of the newly relocated store.  All merchandise will be discounted by 10% for this special sale and 10% of all purchases will go to either RFS or Hospice.

The talented Ms. Shabbir is an artist and designer who describes her work as classically refined. Her elegant pieces are wonderful presents to give or receive. Intent on finding some way to help  organizations whose work she strongly supports, Ms. Shabbir approached the owners of Maria Louisa and together they decided to hold this exciting event. At a time when non-profits everywhere are facing severe cuts in funding, Ms. Shabbir’s efforts are more than appreciated by both recipient organizations.
