Morning Sun by Vincent Jackson - 24 x 18 Acrylic

VINCENT O. JACKSON’s unique art will be viewed in an opening reception at Sidewalk Bistro, 482 Piermont Avenue, Piermont, NY on Tuesday, October 2, 2012, 6:30pm.  The restaurant will feature Vincent Jackson’s work through December 30, 2012. Sidewalk Bistro is open Mon-Sun 11 am - 11 pm.

Now, painting for over 40 years, Mr. Jackson’s art works depict various themes. Jackson utilizes abstract styles such as pointillism and medium combinations of acrylic, oil pastels, charcoal, pastels, pen & ink, and pencils. His work is a unique foray of abstract-realism, bordering on an impressionistic style which often captures the effect of light on his subject matter.  “Morning Sun” (attached), is an example of Jackson’s brilliant use of pointillism.

Mr. Jackson’s art will be available for purchase while on display at Sidewalk Bistro.  Space may be limited so please make dinner reservations for groups of six (6) or more at (845.680.6460).

I guess better late than never. LaCorte is serving his 4th year as Mayor and was Trustee for I thinkRead More 4 years before that. This year is the only time he has brought the idea to the village about participating in this program. He is motivated by the opportunity of getting positive press for his County Executive campaign. The village should have been involved in this program ( as well as the Americorps program) long before this. On a positive note, hopefully the Village will continue this worthwhile partnership for many years to come.
