A Soldier's Play

A Soldier's Play

A Soldier's Play, the Pulitzer Prize winning drama by Charles Fuller, opens at Elmwood Playhouse, 10 Park Street, in Nyack, NY on Friday, March 9th and runs until Saturday, March 31st, 2012.

Director Joe Albert Lima, a wonderful actor himself, has done a terrific job with his cast of twelve performers. The play is a spell binding mystery set in a Louisiana army camp in 1944. It is a story of the segregated US Army and the racism men of color had to endure in the service of their country. As the audience watches the riveting murder investigation unfold, they find the black soldiers are as suspect as the white. In the end, as the truth is revealed, it is even more shocking than the murder itself!
