Water Line Breaks On Burd Street in Nyack

A water line break on Burd Street Friday is impacting The River Club Restaurant, the Clermont building and some other neighboring properties in Nyack according to an update on the village website

The River Club closed Friday night due to the incident.

The Rockland County Health Department declared a boil water alert for residents in the Clermont building. Nearby properties could see discolored water. Those nearby but not in the boil water area who find their water to be brackish should let it run until it clears.

With a boil water alert in effect, any water that is ingested should be boiled, including if it is used for washing fruit and vegetables, ice, infant formula or cleaning pets. Showering is acceptable, but avoid swallowing the water or getting it in open wounds.
