A massive New York State Thruway direction signpost and its signs knocked down in Hurricane Sandy remain down and block part of the sidewalk near Route 9W. The damaged sign is right next to the Provident Bank branch at the intersection of High Avenue and Route 9W.
The signpost provides directions for motorists heading east on High Avenue.
