The Homemade Pickles Have Been Brined at Prohibition River

The opening can't be far away.

On Twitter and in interviews, the duo behind the new gastropub that's replacing the Black Bear Saloon have committed to locally-sourced food and drink.

Chef Jonathan Placek and manager Oliver Cullen told boozyburbs.com, the Bergen County foodie newsletter, that the menu for their new restaurant at 82 Main St. would be as locally sourced as possible.

"We also will be taking advantage of locally sourced beers, spirits, produce and ingredients whenever possible to sustain our menu and really tie us into all that the Hudson Valley has to offer," they told Rockland 411.

Now we wait!
