Spring Sleet: How Can These Two Words Go Together?

Just don't kill the messenger, says Hudson Valley Weather.

In the continuing spirit of 2014 weather, the vernal equinox will be ushered in overnight with a scattering of sleet.

The National Weather Service predicts rain in Rockland County, and rain and sleet in northern Westchester and southern Putnam County, with lows in the 30s.

This week two years ago people were boating on the Hudson River—last week people were still walking on it, according to Hudson Valley Weather.

But. But!

Temperatures will be in the 50s March 20.

And snow isn't expected again in Rockland until next week!

"Cold air, and below average temps, are going to linger right into the beginning of April," Hudson Valley Weather warns.
