Snow Falling in Rockland; Winter Weather Advisory in Effect

The National Weather Service issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Rockland and Orange Counties that will remain in effect until 4 p.m. Tuesday. 

Snow was already falling locally by 7 a.m., with between two and five inches of accumulation expected. It is expected to stop around the time of the afternoon rush hour. 

Nyack Public Schools and South Orangetown Schools remain open. Clarkstown Schools dismissed early. 

All Nyack and Tappan Zee High School sporting events Tuesday were cancelled
