The Nyack Chamber of Commerce and 2nd Nature skate shop are co-sponsoring the Nyack Youthfest and Game of S.K.A.T.E. Saturday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Riverspace Parking lot on Main Street in Nyack.
The fundraising event for Nyack Needs a Skate Park features live musical performances by Mustache Cash Stash, MarQui and North Runner, DJs Stretch, Somebody Else and Floor Funktion.
In the game of S.K.A.T.E., boarders will perform tricks to stay in the contest. It is similar to the basketball game of H.O.R.S.E.
There will be a learn-to-skate area for all ages and information about the proposed skate park in Nyack's Memorial Park along with food, T-shirts with prints from the shirt design contest, records and the Roller Derby Girls
