Nyack Girls Lacrosse Drops Home Playoff Game

The Fox Lane girls lacrosse team clamped down on defense and scored the final two goals of the game Thursday on the road to beat Nyack, 12-10, in the first round of the Class B playoffs.

The game was close, with No. 6 Nyack fighting back to tie the game at 10 with nine minutes to go on a goal by Jen Farrell. The Indians wouldn’t score again, as No. 11 Fox Lane pushed ahed for good thanks to two goals by Lindsay West. For the Foxes, Sarah Corcoran led the team with three goals, followed by West, Kate Burbank and Keely Connors, who all scored two goals.

For Nyack, Farrell and Kate Fischer led the way with three goals apiece.
