National Weather Service Issues Flood Watch in Rockland

The National Weather Service issued a flash flood watch for Rockland County and much of the surrounding area through 6 p.m. Tuesday afternoon due to expected heavy rains.

In a flash flood watch, conditions exist that could lead a flash flood. The forecast is calling for scattered showers through the day and into Tuesday night.

Sections of Nyack and West Nyack near Palisades Center are among areas that have had road closures and other issues due to flash flooding earlier this year.
