Meet Amani Toomer: He'll be at Free Health Fair at Palisades Center

Former Giants star part of local health outreach effort.

You can stay healthy and meet a former football star at the same time on Saturday.

The American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin and Indian Cultural Society of Rockland, in  conjunction with the Rockland County PBA, is hosting an annual Free Health Fair at Palisades Center mall in West Nyack on the fourth floor near the Skating Rink on Saturday from l to 4 p.m.

AAPI of Rockland has about 150 members, many ot whom will be on hand to provlde free blood pressure, cholesterol and blood sugar tests. Free flu shots will be available. Doctors from various specialties will also on hand to answer any “Ask the doctor” type questions.

Amani Toomer, who played on the Super Bowl winning New York Giants will be present to meet and greet the visitors. Various free raffles, including on that giving away four tickets to a NY Red Bull Soccer game, will be given away.

The Free Health Fair is jointly sponsored by Hackensack University Medical Center. The fair is free and open to the public.
