Tomorrow: A Day in the Life of the Hudson River

Welcome to 'About Town,' a column that will keep you up to the minute with what's what, who's who and what the village is talking about. Check in often, because we will be updating often. And if you see something... say something

Tomorrow marks The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation's Hudson River Estuary Program—it's titled "A Day in the Life of the Hudson River 2010."

Local schools—including Blue Rock School and Nyack High School—will take education down to the river and spend the day getting up close and friendly with the mighty Hudson.

Students will engage in hands-on scientific learning exercises and collect scientific information. This annual program will help participants understand how their piece of the river fits into the larger Hudson estuary ecosystem.
