Escape for a fantastic evening of community theater

Here’s a way to really get away—far away.

The —a not-for-profit community theater housed in a 100-year-old theater complex—will present the Tony Award winning romantic comedy Enchanted April beginning Friday, March 25. The show will run through Saturday, April 16 and is influenced by the England- and Italy-based 1922 Elizabeth Von Arnim novel.

The Elmwood Playhouse has been in continuous use since 1947. During that period, the theater has entertained over 250,000 people with 300 main stage productions. (That includes 70 musicals, an opera and four world-premieres.)

For this great escape, we recommend making it a day of it in Nyack—before or after the show, visit the specialty shops downtown and then enjoy a meal in one of the village's .

Tickets for plays are $21.00 for adults and $18.00 for seniors (65 and over) and students under 22 (except on Saturday). Musicals are $23.00,and $21.00 for seniors and students (except on Saturday). All seats are general admission.
