Flood Watch in Effect For Rockland County

The National Weather Service issued a flood watch for Rockland County and much of the surrounding area early Monday morning.

Heavy rainfall is possible for Monday afternoon into Tuesday morning. The current forecast calls for showers, with thunderstorms possible after 3 p.m., with a 100 percent chance of rain tonight. The flood watch is en effect from noon Monday until midnight.

There have been issues with flooding in the area recently, including the closure of Route 59 for part of the day Saturday in West Nyack.
