Interfaith Symposium at Islamic Center of Rockland

For the first time in Rockland County, an interfaith symposium representing the three Abrahamic faiths, Judaism, Christianity and Islam is being planned on Sunday, March 11, 2012 at 3:00 – 5:00 pm at the Islamic Center of Rockland, 481 Mountainview Avenue, Valley Cottage, N.Y.

This is the first of three sessions to be held at different locations. Rabbi Brian Beal from Temple Beth Torah initiated this idea and planning meetings were held at Islamic Center of Rockland to review scheduling details. The purpose of these sessions is to learn commonality of the revealed scriptures and thus appreciate and achieve an understanding and respect among the diverse religious groups. The ultimate goal of these sessions is to promote peace, harmony, accord, and co-operation among all residents of the Rockland County. Please join us, participate, learn, and enjoy the dialogue.

Refreshments will be served.
